Safety precautions for low-temperature storage tanks

1.The operators should wear protective equipment such as coarse cloth gloves to prevent frostbite on the body of low-temperature liquids.
2.Cryogenic storage tanks are pressure vessels, operators must undergo safety training, familiar with the structure of cryogenic storage tanks and the characteristics of cryogenic liquids, and master the provisions of explosion-proof technology and fire safety.
3.The operator should be familiar with the equipment process, various valves and instruments, the role of safety accessories and operating procedures, liquid filling and draining should be strictly in accordance with operating procedures.
4.In use should always check whether the valve is in the correct opening and closing position, pressure gauge, level gauge measurement is accurate and reliable, the equipment pipeline, the valve has no air leakage blockage phenomenon. When the vessel pressure reaches the starting pressure of the safety valve and the safety valve does not move should immediately calibrate the pressure of the safety valve to ensure the safety of cryogenic storage tanks.
5.The operation of all valves should be opened and closed slowly to prevent excessive force damage to the valve. When the valve freezes can not open and close, the application of hot air or hot water to thaw, it is strictly prohibited to use hard objects knocking, fire or electric heating.
6.In the storage medium is liquid oxygen, because oxygen is a strong combustible gas, so the tank must be treated by grease removal. It is strictly forbidden to use tools with grease, protective equipment and steel tools that are easy to produce sparks when they are bumped, and rubber or brass tools without grease should be used.
7.Found in the tank pressure rise abnormal, should immediately open the gas vent valve, and identify the cause, to prevent accidents overpressure.
8.In a short period of time out of use, do not empty all the liquid in the cryogenic storage tank, according to the length of interrupted use of 5%-10% of the amount of liquid left to reduce the evaporation loss when refilling.
9When the cryogenic storage tank tank liquid emptying, should be maintained in the tank 0.02MPa pressure to avoid moisture air into the piping system, resulting in blockage of piping valves.
10.The operation of the cryogenic storage tank outside the surface of the “sweating” phenomenon, such as the discovery of “sweating” should stop using and identify the cause.
11.Low-temperature storage tank filling rate shall not be greater than 0.95, to prevent the tank gas phase volume is too small when the sudden rise in pressure caused by safety accidents.
