Regular filling refers to the normal use of LNG Dewar bottles, where the inner chamber of the Dewar bottle is at low temperature and partly liquid when filling.

1. make sure that the filling station or the vehicle with the Dewar bottle installed is well grounded;

2. open the protective caps on the cryogenic fill port and cryogenic return port.

3. visually inspect the valves, fittings, and piping of the Dewar bottle to make sure there are no leaks and no missing parts;

4. purge (or wipe with a dry, clean veil) the cryogenic fill port and cryogenic return port with dry nitrogen gas to ensure that there is no moisture, impurities;

5. if required, connect the return gun and cryogenic return port by twisting the return gun 90°;

6. confirm that the gas filler gun and low-temperature liquid filling port match, connect the gas filler gun and low-temperature liquid filling port;

7. Observe the cylinder pressure gauge, if the pressure of the Dewar cylinder is high, it may need to be emptied before filling, open the cylinder emptying shut-off valve to lower the pressure to below the pressure required by the filling machine, and then close the emptying shut-off valve (attention is needed when emptying: the emptied gas is returned to the large storage tank of the filling station or discharged to a safe place.)

8. turn on the refueling station pump for filling until the refueling machine stops automatically;

9. confirm that the venting shut-off valve has been closed and remove the filling and return gas guns;

10. Cover the protective caps on the low-temperature filling port and low-temperature gas return port.

LNG Dewar bottle filling precautions:

(1) Before filling, observe whether there is frost or sweating on the exterior of the cylinder, it is recommended that cylinders with this phenomenon should not be filled and should be sent back to the manufacturer for repair.

(2) Check whether the cylinder has pressure, if the pressure is zero, the cylinder should be purged and tested for gas tightness, and after it is qualified, it should be filled again.

Caution:

(1) Before filling should check whether there is moisture and impurities in the cryogenic filling port, and should ensure that the moisture and impurities are completely removed when filling.

(2) If there is moisture, when filling, the moisture will quickly condense into ice. Ice may block the liquid inlet check valve, low-temperature liquid filling port, or even into the bottle. The blockage causes the low-temperature liquid filling port, the liquid inlet check valve is not closed tightly to produce leakage, and even cause damage to the sealing surface. If ice enters the cylinder, it may be blocked at the liquid outlet check valve in the process, causing poor liquid supply and making the engine underpowered or even unable to start.

(3) If there are impurities, when filling the liquid, the impurities may cause the liquid inlet check valve, low-temperature liquid filling port is not closed tightly, or even cause damage to the sealing surface. At the same time, if the front end of the engine is not equipped with a filter, impurities may cause engine damage.

Note: The pressure of a fully filled cylinder rises very quickly and may cause the safety valve to open; therefore, a fully filled cylinder should be used as soon as possible and long storage is prohibited.

Warning: When venting to the atmosphere, the venting gas should be directed to a safe place, otherwise it will cause the risk of fire and explosion.
